The Lakeside Inn
100 Alexander St, Mt Dora, FL 32757
Pass through the stone gateposts of Lakeside Inn and you will instantly step back in time. You will feel yourself relaxing even before stepping foot inside the lobby. You’ve arrived somewhere very historic and special, with large moss-draped oak trees and acres of beautifully landscaped grounds that sweep down to the white sand shoreline of Lake Dora. For years you have heard about the gracious comfort of Mount Dora, a haven for artists and antique lovers, complete with its own historic Inn… and you are finally here. Indeed, you have arrived at Florida’s Most Historic Hotel. Built-in 1883, Lakeside Inn is the oldest continuously operating hotel in the State of Florida. The last of the Grand Victorian Era Hotels still remain in Central Florida. The five brightly-painted yellow and white buildings feature 90 guest rooms and suites, the Beauclaire Dining Room, Tremain’s Tavern, a 200-foot Verandah lined with traditional white rocking chairs, the Grand Lobby, and The Gatehouse Gift Gallery. The Inn also offers a large lakefront swimming pool, two docks, and approximately 5,000 square feet of indoor function space to complement a number of picturesque outdoor venues.
